I bought this for my mom on mothers' day. Taken after she just watered her flowers.
I would really appreciate comments on how I should improve my photos :) I'm really open to all kinds of comments. And if you have anything to ask me about regarding the photos taken, feel free to do so!
Thank you for visiting.
nice shot with good focus & details

@Saeed: Thank you so much, Saeed :)
Good image with details and color tone.
I Think you did not need to make blurs at the top and bottom. It could be also good just as it was.

@pLusOne: Thank you, pLusOne :) Okay, I'll take that advice!
Colours are superb and the little dew drops, a lovely touch ;)

@M. Isabel: Hahah, you're wayyyyyy to kind, Isabel. Thank you so much!
I like this shot a lot..., but there are a line above and below the flower that are a little distracting, which you may want to avoid. It almost looks like you were trying to darken part of the photo. IF this is th case you could try using a feathered edge to blend it a little, or you could use the lasso tool for a non rectangular selection to avoid the stark line.

@Dylan: Thank you so much, Dylan :) Yes, now that some mentioned, I find it really distracting too. Thank you for alerting me on that. As well as how I should cover up.
Nice colors, Elle, strong and bright. I can't give you any pointers though... I'm just another guy with a camera.. :-))

@Earnest: Thank you, Earnest. Its alright! Haha.
Elle, this is a brilliant capture; I like it. If it were mine, I might use the 'burn tool' to darken the distracting stems and bright whites behind the Orchid so that the yellow 'pops' even more. Thank you for your comment on my red Ladybeetle ....... it is so much fun to drive!

@Judy: Thank you so much, Judy! You have my godmother's name :) Okay, thanks for the tip! That's what I wanted to do actually. To blur out the white parts and stem but ending up distracting. Really appreciate it! I sure have a lot to learn about photoshop. Oh no worries! It was too adorable not to comment.
Beautiful colors! I love the effect the water has.

@e.: Thank you so much, E. Water does amazing things :)
And to answer your question about the 40x and the 200, they're very different. The 40x is much more approachable by someone who hasn't taken a ton of digital photography classes, but the 200, if you know what all the settings are, is much better for adjusting the end result to what you want it to be. They're both great cameras though.

@e.: Thank you for taking time to tell me about them. (: I think I'll go for the 40x. But it might be years before I'll ever get it. Haha.
the flower is so beautiful...the water droplets just add another dimenision great

@vu@granby - Wolfgang Prigge: Thank you, Wolfgang! :) I sure hope she was!
Those are brilliant colours and wonderfully framed shot. However, it is a bit dark (that could just be my personal preference) but I too question what the lines are? What software do you use for processing your images?
24 Feb 2008 9:01pm
@amy: Thank you so much for your time taken to write this comment. Yes, I do agree its a bit too dark. I wanted the focus to be on the flower so I kind of brightened the flower but instead if was distracting. Thank you for telling me. I did not really notice. I'll take special note next time. I use Photoshop 7.
Gorgeous. I love the colors and the water droplets.
